For the all the products there will be different costumes however they will be similar to represent the personality of the characters. The costumes used will be uploaded in dairy's of the events. All the options and the ones finally picked.

The characters have different personality this is so that they can be relatable to a wide range of audience and can show how contrasts can work well. Below are some outfits that have inspired me for the characters clothes

Trailer

The trailer will have a range of different costumes as there are many different scenes. Through out the main events the costumes will reflect the style I showed earlier which matches there personality however for some key events of the trailer it will be different.
Beginning scenes: The images of the main character at the beginning will be dressed in darker clothes. As in this time the scenes are letting the audience of the characters sad feelings and the tragedy that has happened.
outside; These scenes will have summer clothes as its to reflect the warmer weather and the setting of it being in summer.
Other than these aspects clothes and costumes will be inspired by the above images and the charcters feelings and personality in the scenes. The outfits tried and used will be shown in the dairys on filming diarys.
Magazine
I have many ideas for the magazine photo shoot however to make them work costume must  be taken into consideration . if I use close ups costume will not be a defining factor as a small proportion can be scene however a medium close up it will play a big role in the over all look.
An option I have been exploring is only having the main character in the shoot. For this I would have her laying on grass to represent that the film is set in summer and is meant to have the happiness that's associated with it. The clothes will be in bright or pale colours that stand out. the clothes will also be girly as this matches the characters personality however could also be an outfit the actress would wear.

At the current moment a white summer dress or a blue formal dress is what I have decided on.

The other option is to have both the main characters so the clothes will on mean a lot for tops and jackets. The same colours for the more girly character and the same style however for the more 'tom boy' character have darker colours and less girly clothes. bold block colours, messy clothes and items that could be unisex. The poster and the magazine will have similar costumes and will match to show them accurately. I have done a practice shoot however they are not in apt clothes other than Nikita has a relaxed and casual look just like her characters.

Marias character is much more girly and would probably be scene in a skirt, dress or pale blue skinny jeans. However because of the emotional part to the story and the theme of death a dark hint to her clothes could be good to represent that even the most sensitive and emotional people have dark times

idea update 2

I have made a story board for my original idea , and have started to collect footage for this however because of people schedules and weather I may have to change some of the scenes and parts to the plot.

Previously I had the idea to add the fact the character want to for fill a list which adds to the plot of the trailer and film however to expand on this I shall add context to it that it was a list they made with a friend as children and in her honour decided to for fill the list.

This may require a name change and some new scenes which I will plan out on a different story board in a later post.

At the current moment the changes to be made have influence on the plot, the two characters don't just to decide to have an amazing summer they find a list of things they wanted to do in there friends house who has recently passed. They decide to do these things before they go to uni in her honour.

Because of this and because of this and the conventions of teen dramas I might change the style of the opening . Having a narrator who isn't one of the characters introduce them with clips of them having fun the atmosphere then changes and the narrator aware the audience of the tragedy and then we see them coping before we reach the main plot point of finding the list.

i have added this new idea to my shooting and have established , narration , dialgoue and shots to match the new ideas and how to work it into the final product. The shots in the trailer have changed and will be done diffrently to what was planned in the story board however it is still the same genre and has the same feel to it. The genre will still be drama/ teen film. However i have done more research into current trailers and decided a base on which i will mine writing out the dialgue that will be used into the trailer to futher the plot of the film. Now i have finaly decided on the exstent of the filming this means shooting and filming can go easier. i have decided to change some of it to be more inside this now means the weather doesnt determine filming and its a matter of fact of getting all the people together on the same day. This will make mine and the actors lives easier.


There will also be more locations added to the risk assesment and the location post as i am adding the school as a potentail location along with two other houses. Im planning the narration and what clips it will over lap in my story board i breifly exspressed this although the speach wasnt planned and it was only a rough outline. Plus i have some of th footage done and i have found a way to base some of the work around what i already have.


Some aspects of the filming has had to be changed this is because of the conditions however i have came up with a changed opening sequence, however this will not be on the story board.

For my flat plan I've got to plan the aspects for the magazine. One of the key features is the masthead which i have made some designs for. I have decided i am going to use film extra as the title. I have then drawn out my favourite idea for the masthead at the top and then changed some aspects to see if i found one i liked better.

I like the idea of having a mast head in solid colour like the black and the blue image, I have decided i like the top one the most however if the magazine requires a change of colour it would still are solid colour like the blue.

Story boards

For the story board i will have a drawn out version done by hand and one made of photos with an explanation of the clip and what kind of shot will be used to achieve it, this will be made on power point where as the other one is hand drawn . They will be below.

I filmed part of the opening sequence to the trailer
 - The scene which establishes the main characters upset emotions ( this part will have a narration over it )
- the scene in which she isolates her self from her friend which makes her friend concerned.

Filming went smoothly and I took shots from different angels to find what would best capture the emotions of the scene.

Change the plot to that the two friends are trying to for fill a list they wrote for there last summer together before university. Adds meaning and purpose to the montage.
